Learn how to add another vehicle to your Marshmallow account — and when you're eligible for our MultiCar policy.
Add another car with MultiCar
If you want to insure a second vehicle with Marshmallow, you might be eligible for our MultiCar policy — a new product designed to let you manage up to 10 vehicles under one account while saving on each one.
When you’re eligible, we’ll show the option to get a MultiCar quote directly in the Marshmallow app.
Who can get MultiCar?
You may be eligible if:
- You pay annually and have at least 3 months left on your current policy
- You pay monthly and have at least 6 months left on your current policy term
Additional eligibility checks apply, including your policy type, claims history, and payment status. We’ll assess everything automatically when you go to get a quote.
What if I already have more than one policy?
If you’ve already taken out multiple separate policies with us, you may still be able to merge them into a MultiCar account — as long as your main policy meets the eligibility criteria.
You’ll need to:
- Keep one policy as your Account Holder policy
- Get a MultiCar quote for the second car in the app
- Cancel the original second policy once the new one is set up under MultiCar
We’ll waive cancellation fees if the switch is made successfully.
How to check your eligibility
- Open the Marshmallow app
- Look for a pink button labelled “Add another car & Get a MultiCar Quote” on your dashboard
- If you see this option, you’re eligible!
- Follow the steps to add a second vehicle and driver
What if I’m not eligible?
If you don’t see the option in the app, MultiCar isn’t available for your account just yet. But you can still:
- Take out a separate policy for your second vehicle
- Manage both policies independently within your Marshmallow account
Can I use my No Claims Discount on both cars?
Yes! Unlike many insurers, Marshmallow allows you to apply your No Claims Discount (NCD) to multiple policies — including when insuring a second car separately.
This means you don’t need to choose which car gets the discount — both can benefit.
