PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY
This agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms which govern the use of discount codes issued by Marshmallow (“Discount Codes”). In this Agreement, “you” means the individual using the Discount Code. By using a Discount Code, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use a Discount Code.
1. About Discount Codes
1.1. Marshmallow may issue Discount Codes from time to time across a range of channels, including but not limited to affiliates, influencers, and Marshmallow-owned marketing channels.
1.2. Discount Codes may be used by existing Marshmallow customers or new Marshmallow customers.
1.3. Each Discount Code provides a reduction to the total cost of a Marshmallow insurance policy, as stated in the relevant promotion. Discount values may vary.
1.4. Discount Codes are subject to any additional specific terms communicated at the time they are issued, which may include eligibility criteria, usage limits, and expiry.
Using a Discount Code
2.1. It is your responsibility to correctly enter a valid Discount Code during the quote or checkout process on www.marshmallow.com. Discount Codes cannot be applied retrospectively after a policy has been purchased.
2.2. Discount Codes can only be redeemed when purchasing a policy directly via www.marshmallow.com and cannot be used on price comparison websites or any other platforms unless explicitly stated.
2.3. Unless stated otherwise:
- only one Discount Code may be used per policy; and
- Discount Codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, or referral reward.
2.4. Discount Codes cannot be used at policy renewal.
2.5. Discount Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or any alternative.
3. Expiry and availability
3.1. Discount Codes are valid for a limited time only and are subject to availability.
3.2. Discount Codes may expire, with or without notice. Where an expiry date is not explicitly stated, the Discount Code will remain valid only for the period determined by Marshmallow.
3.3. Expired Discount Codes cannot be redeemed. Marshmallow is under no obligation to extend or reinstate expired Discount Codes.
4. Policy changes, cancellations, and refunds
4.1. A Discount Code applies only to reduce the total cost of the insurance policy at the point of purchase.
4.2. If a policy is cancelled or refunded, any refund will be calculated based on the discounted policy price actually paid. The value of the Discount Code will not be refunded separately.
4.3. If a policy is amended such that it no longer meets the eligibility criteria, Marshmallow reserves the right to remove the Discount Code.
5. Prohibited use and misuse
5.1. Discount Codes are non-transferable and must not be shared, sold, or published unless explicitly authorised by Marshmallow.
5.2. Discount Codes must not be used in bad faith or in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful to Marshmallow’s brand, goodwill, or reputation.
5.3. Marshmallow reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any Discount Code, or remove any associated discount, where misuse or abuse is suspected.
6. Changes and withdrawal
6.1 Marshmallow reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw any Discount Code or promotion at any time, including where reasonably necessary due to misuse, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond Marshmallow’s control. This will not affect Discount Codes that have already been validly applied to a policy prior to withdrawal.
6.2. Marshmallow’s decision in respect of all matters relating to Discount Codes shall be final.
7. Applicable law
7.1. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
7.2. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
8. About Marshmallow
8.1 All personal data will be processed in accordance with Marshmallow’s Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
