You can update most of your car insurance personal details directly in the Marshmallow App:
- Open the App and tap your policy
- Tap Update details at the top of the screen
- Look for the information you want to update and tap Edit
We can help you update:
- Your name
- Your licence type
- Your job
- Any modifications to your car
- Claims and convictions
- Any health issues that might affect your driving
Please note: Marshmallow Lightest or Essential customers may be charged a £25 admin fee to make changes to their policy.

How do I update my home address?
You can change your address directly for car insurance in the App:
- Tap your policy
- Tap Update details at the top of the screen
- Tap Main Driver and look for Address
- Tap Edit
- Follow the instructions to update your home address
Why is it important to update my address for car insurance?
It's important your address is always up to date. If your address is incorrect, your policy could be invalidated in the event of a claim.
We need to know whenever any of your details change. That way, you’ll stay covered, and your policy will remain valid.
What information will you need to verify my new address?
To confirm your home address, we may ask for one of the following:
- Tenancy agreement
- Bank or building society statement
- A recent utility bill (gas, electricity, water, or landline – not mobile phone)
- Mortgage statement
- Council tax bill
Any document you share must be recent and clearly show your name and address.
